LYNETTE KAY - ABSTRACT ARTIST
Having grown up by the sea, Lynette produces abstract works inspired by the environment and her local surroundings. And as a synaesthetic artist, music also fires Lynette's imagination; "Whenever I hear a piece of music, I see explicit colours, movement, shapes and textures in my head."
Lynette studied with Charles Howard at the Froebel Institute, University of London, following which she was offered a place at the Royal College of Art and has since lived, travelled and exhibited around the world.
“The nature of how music surrounds and enfolds me is what drives my approach to painting. Total immersion and the meditative rhythm of mark making happens when I respond to music.”
